Dr. Patel received his medical degree as well as his MBA from St. George's University in St. George's, Grenada. 

He completed his neurology residency at the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences in Brooklyn, New York, where he also served as chief resident. 

He completed a fellowship in Sports Neurology and pain medicine at the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Patel is originally from New York, but currently resides in Los Angeles, CA where he enjoys sports, music and cooking.  He has a passion for sideline neurology.  he enjoys teaching medical students and residents as well as working in healthcare operational management.
