Ryna Then. M.D. is a Vascular Neurologist with double certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
Dr. Then received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), Dominican Republic. She completed her Neurology Residency and Vascular Neurology Fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NY.
Dr. Then is passionate advocate and works tirelessly to provide outstanding and compassionate care to the people in need. She has extensive experience in the creation of Centers of Excellence in Ischemic Stroke and Intracerebral Hemorrhage and is part of leadership committies for The World Stroke Organization (Implementation Committie, WSO) and Mission Thrombectomy 2020+/Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (Caribbean Leadership Committie, MT2020+/SVIN).
For many years, she served as Stroke Medical Director for Cooper University Hospital in NJ. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) in NJ. She has collaborated in multiple multicenter studies in Neurology and Cardiology and has presented in numerous conferences of prestigious academies. She has stood out as an excellent educator, at a national and international level, and has received numerous awards including "Golden Apple Award" and "Leo Davidoff Society Award" for academic and educational excellence. She also received a prestigious International award granted by The Presidency of the Dominican Republic to Fourteen Women honorees recognized for achievements in different fields.
