Kimberly Kjome, M.D.
Dr. Kimberly “Kim” Kjome is from Austin, Texas. A native Texan, Dr. Kjome completed their undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas and did their medical training at University of Texas – Houston McGovern School of Medicine. After medical school, they also completed their residency in psychiatry as well as a 2-year post-doctoral research fellowship in behavioral aspects of addiction at McGovern School of Medicine.
After graduation, Dr. Kjome became clinical faculty at McGovern before moving to Austin. In Austin, Dr. Kjome did private, solo outpatient practice before becoming faculty again at University of Texas Dell Medical School. While at Dell, Dr. Kjome was clinically involved in patient practice, where they specialized in treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, and dual diagnosis.
Dr. Kjome has also been active in academics, teaching didactics to medical students, residents, and faculty, as well as clinical supervision to medical students, residents, pharmacy students, and advance practice nursing students. Dr. Kjome joint TeleSpecialists in September 2021.
