Dr. Atif Zafar completed his medical school at Dow Medical College, after which he completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. He has also completed his Vascular Neurology Fellowship through the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. Since 2016 he has been part of comprehensive stroke and neuroscience programs at UNM School of Medicine in Albuquerque and more recently at the University of Toronto's St. Michael's Hospital in Canada. He has been involved in residency and fellowship committees, including his role as program director, and has been the co-PI of multiple NIH grants with various publications over the years. He recently joined TeleSpecialists as a tele-neurologist and is based in Dallas.
