Dr. Kenneth V. Snyder is an accomplished neurosurgeon, educator, and healthcare quality leader. He serves as Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the University at Buffalo and is the Chief Physician Quality Officer for Kaleida Health, where he leads system-wide initiatives in patient safety, clinical excellence, and quality improvement.
With a multidisciplinary academic background—including a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics, an MD, and a Master’s in Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality from Johns Hopkins Dr. Snyder brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and systems thinking to his roles. He is board-certified in neurological surgery and has completed extensive fellowship training in endovascular neurosurgery and stroke imaging.
Dr. Snyder has been instrumental in transforming quality management systems at Kaleida Health, achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification and eliminating repeat non-conformities in accreditation surveys. His leadership has contributed to significant improvements in hospital-acquired condition metrics and national rankings.
An internationally recognized speaker and educator, Dr. Snyder has delivered over 80 invited lectures across global, national, and regional platforms. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, focusing on stroke intervention, neurovascular imaging, and healthcare innovation.
He is also deeply committed to mentorship and education, overseeing clinical immersion programs and training medical students, residents, and fellows. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including multiple “Top Doctor” awards and humanitarian honors.
