Hermelinda G. Abcede, MD, completed her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2006. She pursued further training at UCLA, completing an Internal Medicine internship in 2007, a Neurology residency in 2010, and a Vascular Neurology fellowship in 2011. She is board-certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.

Dr. Abcede specializes in acute stroke care, including both ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, and has a strong passion for education. Before joining TeleSpecialists in November 2022, she held a long-term academic position and was recognized with multiple teaching awards for her contributions to medical education.
