Our presenter is a board-certified neurologist specializing in central nervous system autoimmune neurological diseases. He completed his Neurology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Florida, where he served as Chief Resident for Administration. He then pursued advanced training with fellowships in Autoimmune Neurology and Neuroimmunology/Multiple Sclerosis at Mayo Clinic Rochester.

Dr. Lopez’s research and clinical focus center on understanding neurologic phenotypes, radiographic biomarkers, treatments, and outcomes in neuroimmunological disorders, aiming to develop improved therapies.

He currently serves as the Director of the Multiple Sclerosis and Autoimmune Neurology Division at Mayo Clinic Florida and holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor of Neurology and In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he frequently staffs the general neurology inpatient service
