Gayle OBrien, MSN, RN, CPHQ

Gayle O'Brien earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Kent State University in Ohio. Her clinical experience spans from medical-surgical nursing through intensive care. She has held the roles of Director of ICU, CCU, Clinical Nurse Specialist Critical Care, Faculty, Director for Quality Improvement, Vice President of Quality and Safety, Patient Safety Officer and Chief Quality Officer. During her tenure, she has been responsible for hospital wide national accreditation and various disease management program certifications. She has successfully led efforts to reduce CMS patient safety indicators and serious safety events. She has developed resident curriculums for quality and safety. She has also led actions to increase HCAHPS and Leapfrog scores. She has served as a graduate preceptor for advanced roles, nurse practitioners, and MSN students.
Gayle currently is the Vice President of Quality and Process Improvement, Patient and Compliance Officer at TeleSpecialists. She has numerous certifications, including Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
