Dr. Julio Ventura is a board-certified neurologist who graduated medical school from St. George's University. He completed his first year of residency at Elmhurst Hospital (affiliated with Mount Sinai Icahn school of medicine) while living in New York City. He was accepted and completed his neurology residency and fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, VA. While at VCU he was selected as chief resident and completed research projects on Vitamin-D and Neuromuscular Disorders and Status Epilepticus which helped advance the stroke program. Currently he resides in St. Johns, Florida and spends his spare time with his family focusing on being physically fit and enjoying the outdoors.
