Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Adelman received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Arizona and stayed close to home for medical and graduate school.  She earned her MD and Master of Public Health from the University of Arizona in 2009 and hit the ground running to her triple board residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in general pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child psychiatry. 

After completing combined training in pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child psychiatry, she joined the University of Utah's Department of Pediatrics as an inpatient Child Psychiatrist and thrived in the fast-paced, high acuity environment. 

A family move to North Carolina took her away from her inpatient team, but allowed her to find her passion for telemedicine.  Dr. Adelman worked remotely as the lead Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a large outpatient practice based in Minnesota for six years prior to joining TeleSpecialists.  

Her time away from work is spent with her wonderful husband and their six children.
