2023 - 2024 Neurology Emergencies
This lecture provides an overview of diagnosis, work up, treatment options and management of neurologic emergencies, specifically for non-neurologists. The diagnoses discussed include acute ischemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhages, status epilepticus, myasthenic crisis, Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), Myelopathy, Cauda Equina Syndrome (CES), and variations of meningitis.

Learners will be able to;
- Define neurologic emergency.
- Describe symptoms and treatment options for at least 3 of the following:
- Acute ischemic stroke
- Intracranial hemorrhage
- Status epilepticus
- Guillan-Barre Syndrome (GBS)
- Myasthenic Crisis
- Myelopathy
- Cauda equina syndrome
- Meningitis
